The Hazleton Philharmonic String Ensemble
The Philharmonic String Ensemble was one of the newest additions to the Philharmonic family. Membership inclues seniors from the orchestra and the advanced students in the Saturday Morning Class program.
Appearances
The String Ensemble has performed in the concerts both at Our Lady of Grace Church and MMI Preparatory school.
Its biggest performance and accomplishment, however, was being able to "...perform for the world." The String Ensemble was chosen to perform in the Galaxy Palace Theatre in the Magic Kingdom of the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando, Florida. The performance was part of Disney's "Magic Music Days." The String Ensemble plays a range of music from classics, to light pop and Broadway tunes.
