The Greater Hazleton Philharmonic Society is the proud sponsor of their own Saturday Workshop. This program provides musical instruction on Saturday Mornings at the former Our Lady of Grace School in Hazleton.
The workshop specializes in the instruction of string instruments: violin, viola, cello and bass. All string instruments are provided for your use.
The Saturday Morning Class Workshop has also included a small week-long summer string clinic the last week of June. If you are interested in either program, please see the contact information as well as the terms and conditions below.
Brass and woodwind students must have their own instrument and at least one year of instruction and/or the ability to read the musical staff fluently.
Lessons are offered to students ages 7 and up. Students are divded into various levels, depending on ability.
Beginners with no previous experience will be instructed on the flutophone and begin by learning to read music.
Group instruction is every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am.
Lessons are split into two sessions: Session I running September - December and Session II running January - April. Cost of lessons is $100.00 per session (sessions include a minimum of 10 classes).
